Western Forge’s American-made hand tools include pliers, screwdrivers, adjustable wrenches, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, punches and chisels.
Its manufacturing plants in Colorado Springs are an American standard of premier metal craftsmanship, offering the latest in forging, heat treatment, handle extrusion, machining and plating operations.
Western Forge was founded in Defiance, Ohio in 1965, as a toque wrench manufacturer. In 1966, the company relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado, building new manufacturing facilities to take advantage of the high-altitude, low-humidity environment that is optimal for steel production.
Upon making the move to Colorado, Western Forge expanded production to include screwdrivers, punches, chisels, adjustable wrenches and pliers and, in 1976, it shipped its 100 millionth screwdriver.
In 2009, Western Forge became a wholly-owned subsidiary of IDEAL INDUSTRIES and continues to manufacture finely crafted, American-made steel for premier hand tools that are sought after by a blue chip list of OEM and retail customers.
