IDEAL Industries Acquires New Zealand Based Enatel Ltd.

This deal will expand innovation and global operations for both companies.

(JANUARY, 2019) – Sycamore, Illinois – Shareholders of Enatel Ltd. have agreed to sell the power solutions company to family-held IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. Terms will not be announced. The deal was also reviewed and approved by the Overseas Investment Office of the New Zealand government.

The Enatel management team will remain with the company and will report to Martin Van Os, Group Vice President/General Manager Asia Pacific headquartered in Melbourne, Australia.  The Enatel management team, including Gary Foot (Managing Director), Andrew Davidson (Executive Director, Sales and Marketing Manager for Motive Power) and Dennis Chapman (Executive Director) will continue to lead Enatel operations from Christchurch, NZ.

James explained that Enatel’s expertise in power supply design, the integration and conversion of alternative energy sources and in battery management have consistently delivered strong growth across the company’s energy, motive power and solar units. Enatel exports 90 percent of its products to over 70 countries across Oceana, the Americas, Asia and EMEIA.
