Richard Petty Driving Experience Top Prize for New IDEAL “Start Your Engines” Promotion

SYCAMORE, IL, December 12, 2007 – Nicknamed “The King,” Richard Petty won a record 200 races during his NASCAR career, including taking the checkered flag seven times at the legendary Daytona 500.

The number of wire connectors purchased by contractors determines their “Start Your Engines” rewards. The grand prize for buying 200,000 connectors is a trip to the Richard Petty Driving Experience (RPDE) for rookie driving training. Hands on the wheel, foot on the gas, the rookie driving experience puts IDEAL customers in the driving seat of a stock car for a thrilling eight laps around a racetrack. For purchases of 50,000 connectors, customers get to ride shotgun as an experienced RPDE driver takes them for three laps at speeds approaching 165 MPH.
