New IDEAL Combo Case Family

SYCAMORE, IL, March 26, 2007 – All the right testing tools on hand exactly when the electrician needs them most: that is the concept behind the new Combo Case line from IDEAL. Combo Cases are deluxe kits of high-quality IDEAL power testing equipment and accessories suited for unique applications, and packaged in one convenient, cost-efficient carrying case.

Unlike competitor's models, the IDEAL tool does not require the contactor to remove and replace stripping cartridges when moving from one cable type to the other. Instead, it saves the contractor valuable time by integrating both a UTP and Coax cartridge into its frame.

Available immediately, the new IDEAL Combo Cases are:

Tester Combo Case (61-2000):

• Vol-Con® XL Voltage Tester provides reliable continuity and AC/DC voltage testing with the safety of a CAT III rating and dual independent circuitry. Features replaceable leads with shielded probe tips.
• Circuit Breaker Finder allows electrical contractors to quickly and accurately trace 120VAC circuit breakers and fuses without costly service interruptions
• Non-Contact Voltage Tester locates breaks along live, insulated wires and for detecting power prior to service.

Meter Combo Case (61-2001):

• 61-350 Series Multimeter is a heavy-duty digital multimeter that measures AC/DC voltage, resistance, continuity and other critical electrical parameters. Features include auto/manual ranging, data hold, protective rubber boot, and a CAT III 600V safety rating.
• 400 Amp Clamp has True RMS, non-contact voltage indicator (70V to 600VAC), CAT III 600V safety rating, overload protection, and audible continuity in a dependable, affordable clamp meter design.

Clamp Combo Case (61-2002):

• TightSight Clamp Meter is world's first to have the patented TightSight LCD built into the bottom of the testers to enable viewing of the display from virtually any angle. Other features are: large tapered jaws and a wire separating hook tip; True RMS; peak min/max with 1ms capture to measure in-rush current; and an exclusive High Voltage Indicator.
• Phase/ Motor Rotation Tester is designed for testing motors and motor starters ranging up to 600V. It has three troubleshooting functions indicating three-phase sequence, indicating motor rotation, and checking for open phases.
