IDEAL's Custom Stripmaster® Wire Stripper Gets An Update for Aerospace Industry

New Ergo-Elite® Stripmaster Weighs 60% Less Than Metal Tools, Provides Superior Comfort, Balance & Control

SYCAMORE, IL, October 15, 2007 – IDEAL today launched its new Ergo-Elite® Stripmaster® hand-held wire stripping tool specially designed for the aerospace industry. The Ergo-Elite is an improved version of the IDEAL Custom Stripmaster® which has been the premium mil spec stripper in the aerospace industry for the last 30 years.

The new Ergo-Elite is ergonomically engineered to deliver more precise strips with better balance and comfort for the operator. This design reduces risk of repetitive strain injury while providing excellent leverage.

The body of the Ergo-Elite Stripmaster® is made from rigid polyurethane reinforced with carbon fiber. It is durable and strong but weighs a mere 1/3 of a pound 60% lighter than traditional metal hand tools. The tool's tilted head assembly maintains a neutral wrist posture and allows users an unobstructed view of wire positioning. An innovative "one size" gripping pad makes the tool suitable for use with wire gauges from 10-26 AWG.

Featuring patented two-piece constructed blades and a one-step stripping action, Ergo-Elite's advanced blade design acts as a wire guide system which ensures a quality strip and eliminates potential scraping of the inner conductor. Swiveling blade compartment doors allow for quick blade changeover, reducing down time and increasing productivity.
