What is Being Recalled? Test leads manufactured in August 2012 and either (i) used on IDEAL solenoid tester model numbers 61-065, 61-067, 61-076, and 61-080, or (ii) test leads sold separately as model nos. 61-070 and 61-072 (the “Recalled Test Leads”)
Why is There a Recall? The base of the plug on the test leads may not have enough rubber insulating material. This poses a risk of electrical shock and may cause serious personal injury or death.
What Should I Do? Look for the 0812 date code on IDEAL test leads purchased since August 2012:

IDEAL will refund your postage costs and provide either free replacement leads or a refund of the value of the leads (your choice).
