LANTEK® Cable Certifiers use an advanced link adapter method which provides more versatility and reduces cost of ownership. Category 6/ISO E permanent link testing simply by plugging in a Category 6/ISO E reference patch cord to the channel adapter. Approved vendor Category 6/ISO E patchcords are listed below. The enclosed Patchcords that were enclosed with your LANTEK 6/7 have been evaluated by IDEAL and are of excellent quality. After calibrating the LANTEK 6/7 units with these Patchcords, they may be used to test ISO Class E/D and TIA Category 6/5e Permanent Links, and ISO C and TIA Category 5/3 Basic Links.
Because of the LANTEK 6/7's advanced Phase implementation, you may also use good-quality, Category 6, 2-meter (7 feet) Patchcords from any Manufacturer. Simply calibrate the LANTEK 6/7 units with those Patchcords and then Category 6/5e Permanent Links and Category 5/3 Basic Links may be tested with them.
If you are planning to obtain a warranty for the System that you are installing, the Manufacturer of the System's Cabling, Connectors, and Patchcords may require that only its Patchcords may be used for testing. Check the list below for the Manufacturer recommendations.
