README.1ST CONTENTS 1. Information regarding compatibility between firmware and software versions. 2. Important information for field upgrade of LANTEK PRO/PRO XL operating software* 3. List of effective changes and improvements ***************** Firmware/Software Compatibility Information ************************* The highest versions of "version 1" LANTEK releases are V1.10 for the unit firmware, the Utility software, and the optional CMS software. These operate together, and V1.10 is preferred over older releases. When the units are upgraded to any "version 2" release, the Utility and the optional CMS software must also be upgraded to "version 2". The user should first upload all stored tests and be prepared to upgrade all units and all copies of the software at the same time to avoid having a mix of version 1 and version 2. These versions are not compatible, with the exception that "version 2" Utility and CMS can open and convert the jobs created by the older versions. The latest and most preferred versions of release 2 are as follows: LANTEK far end unit: 2.10 LANTEK Handset unit: 2.13 PRO Utility: 2.10 CMS: 1.53 **************************************************************************************** FIELD UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS *****WARNING!!!
